C-Therm TCkit
An economical, do-it-yourself Transient Plane Source (TPS) solution for academic researchers — build and customize your…
Four transient methods. One modular platform. All material types.
Trident unleashes the power of four different transient methods in the ultimate toolbox for thermal conductivity measurement of all types of materials — solids, liquids, powders, gels, pastes and composites — all in one modular package. Choose the right sensor for your samples and switch in seconds.
Trident’s primary sensor characterizes thermal conductivity and effusivity using a single-sided, interfacial heat-reflectance sensor that applies a momentary constant heat source to the sample. Fast, non-destructive and ideal for QC and R&D alike.
Double-sided sensor configuration conforming to ISO 22007-2 and GB/T 32064. The user iteratively develops timing and power parameters — intended for rough and heterogeneous materials, giving researchers maximum versatility in test parameters and experimental design.
Operating in accordance with ASTM D5334, D5930 and IEEE Std 442, the needle-probe TLS sensor is a robust, efficient solution for granular materials, powders, polymer melts, soils, slurries, gels and pastes.
A thin wire with a known applied current produces a temperature rise; the voltage change across the wire is continuously measured, and thermal conductivity is determined from the change in temperature over time — ideal for liquids and low-viscosity fluids.
